Marketing Manager
Full-time
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join an established, family-owned business in the design and build industry of architectural legacies.
You will play a central role in shaping the next chapter of Border Oak's growth, building on a 40-year heritage while modernising and strengthening our marketing capability. You'll influence leadership decisions, shape strategic direction and, over time, develop both internal and external marketing support.
You will help sustain and strengthen Border Oak's position as a leading name in bespoke oak frame construction — increasing market share, strengthening brand distinction and driving commercially aligned growth.
Who Are We?
Since 1980 - based on time-honoured principles of trust, capability, and innovation, Border Oak has collaborated with our clients to create inherently personal and distinctly crafted, sustainable homes that reflect who they are and how they wish to live.
We combine traditional craftsmanship with good conscience; authentically hand made and built to last across lifetimes; delivered by a fair, honest, and uncompromising experience.
We build oak framed houses and buildings across the UK and internationally, specialising in the self and custom build sector.
The Role
Working alongside the Senior Management Team, you will lead the development and delivery of a modern, integrated marketing plan in line with company strategy.
You will inherit a respected heritage brand — and evolve it thoughtfully. This role blends strategic leadership, brand stewardship and hands-on delivery.
This is not a volume-driven marketing role. Border Oak operates in a considered, high-investment category where discretion, emotional intelligence and attention to detail matter deeply. The Marketing Manager will work alongside clients, architects and commercial partners, ensuring the brand is represented with integrity at every stage of the journey.
You will be responsible for devising and implementing marketing strategies that align with our unique ethos and our business objectives and how best to effectively reach our target audiences.
Additionally, you will forge and manage relationships with associated partners and clients and analyse the outcomes of the marketing strategy.
Key responsibilities:

- Oversee the creation and commissioning of high-quality content across digital and print, including website, social media, PR, case studies, film, events, sales support, and publications.
- Ensure the Border Oak story is told with confidence, coherence and commercial intent.

Commercial Alignment
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Sales and Design teams to support lead generation and conversion.
- Use market insight and research to identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.
Budget & Governance
- Manage the marketing budget with discipline and accountability, ensuring effective allocation and measurable short and long-term return.
- Establish efficient marketing processes that strengthen delivery and consistency across the business.
