Woodcock Barn

Contemporary 2/3 bedroom Border Oak property in the heart of the medieval village

Nestled into a deceptively private plot, and surrounded by beautiful Listed Buildings, the property has an enviable location.

Pembridge has two highly regarded public houses, an award winning village shop & cafe (currently the No.1 Restaurant on Trip Advisor), tea room, village hall, gallery and gift shop, church (with 13th Century Bell Tower) as well as the sought after Ofsted Outstanding Primary school.  A spa will open in 2019.

The Stagg Inn can be found in nearby Titley, with the Cider Barn restaurant just 1 mile away.

The village is a thriving community with many local groups and interesting projects. It has won three RHS Gold Awards and reached the final in Channel 4's Village of The Year 2018.

Woodcock Barn, Pembridge

House Size

Designed by our Creative Director, Merry Albright, in collaboration with our Design Team, this barn is truly unique and aims to merge traditional craftsmanship with subtle modern detailing.

The design has been commended by Historic England for its contemporary reinterpretation of oak framing, particularly its relevance and sympathetic approach to the sensitive surroundings and its positive contribution to the historic street scene.

This is a house with several unexpected design tricks - a generous open plan kitchen area is complemented by a hidden utility area under the stairs. The oak framed study/garden room has an attached bathroom allowing it to become a third bedroom if needed. The open plan kitchen leads onto a second living space with bifold doors leading on to the incredibly private rear garden. Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. The larger bedroom has a wonderful oak cruck frame and vaulted ceiling. The second bedroom has views towards the black mountains.
This property has the benefit of superior insulation values, gas central heating (underfloor) and the usual high quality craftsmanship of Border Oak.
